PHOTOSHOOT BRIEF #2!!
Hello models!
Yes, it is time to get physical, physcial, because this week, you will be doing the "80s Workout" Photoshoot from Canada's Next Top Model Cycle 1!
Put on your spandex and your fluro colours! Again, there is a lot of room for personal creativity in this shoot and you are free to execute it in any way you wish. The only things that are cumpolsury are:
1- 80s Workout attire, with your own fashion twist.
2- Some form of exercise equipment- DOES NOT have to be something found in a gym such as treadmills if you dont have access to those things, think anything sporty such as balls, tenis raquets etc.
3- This photoshoot is very opposite to the last- The idea is to play around, be silly and have fun. Make it camp and make it kitsch. The most successful people will be those who lose all their inhibitions and really go for it and make all the judges laugh.
Everybody may send SIX pictures, except for Jonny who can send EIGHT for his TyraMail win last week. Also sending in EIGHT is this week's Tyra Mail winner,
KARASU! Congrats
All pictures must be sent by next friday, the 23rd.
For references to the pictures from CNTM's shoot, see http://cntm.all-antm.net (i think thats right LOL)
ENJOY!!!!

See, since MOST of y'all were born in the nineties I'm placing my faith in my fellow eighties-babies.

I wish I were a 70s baby so I could have experienced the 80s growing up! I wonder if my parents have any 80s clothes that would fit me haha

Re: PHOTOSHOOT BRIEF #2!!
so i have this speedo-looking bathing suit and that's the only article of clothing i have that counts as "80s camp"
so i'm going to work that... and some weights.
also, can we photoshop in bright, florescent colors to make it looks more 80s?

Is a crap photo that fits the brief better than a great one that doesn't?

i think it really depends on how far each picture is away from a good photo and one that fits. if you have both, submit them so the judges know you tried even though good results came from something else. of course, the best advice is just to reshoot until you get a great photo that fits the theme. ;-]
Re: PHOTOSHOOT BRIEF #2!!
reshooting is always a good option. i reshot a lot of my pics, and so did lucy. it takes a while to get your vision flowing. my advice is that fitting the brief and making it look modelesque is more important than the other shot, because it may not look as good as you think it does. then you're stuck with a photo that's bad AND doesn't fit the brief.

Re: PHOTOSHOOT BRIEF #2!!
Useful hints on how to look "Eighties" even if you don't have eighties-wear (because i don't want to see excuses!!)
- If you have no leg-warmers, bright coloured socks are cute.
- Legins are SO in right now, so if you don't have them, poo on you.
- Colourful running shoes, much?
- Big hair, duh!!
- SCRUNCHIES!! Honestly. Hit up your local Claire's.
- Hair crimpers (I'm talking to the boys too).
- Bright makeup
- If you don't have a bodysuit, a one-piece bathingsuit might do well.
As for photoshop, recall in the "rules" Lesus told everyone that you can't use photoshop to physically CHANGE your photo but you can use filters to altar lighting (i.e. brightness/contrast, hue/saturation). Making something brighter and more saturated might play up your colours.
