Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
WOW!
I am not by any means a Chris Brown fan. I think I need to gather my thoughts before I release any thing about my opinions of him in this situation. I feel so sorry for RIRI, that's my girl and I am so hurting for her.

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
omigod!
that's seriously terrible.
im not really up to date on this whole story, but it makes me sick.
what bothers me even more is that it happens to regular people every day, everywhere. and some people (just generalizing about society) are only upset because this is a celebrity case. but what's EVEN WORSE is i've heard of people who are like "oh i still would do chris brown, he's so gorgeous, i dont even care." which is just horrifying. nothing should rectify him.

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
thats a trickier question. i dont really find any value in his music myself, but it's a rough assumption to make that a man's art is made worthless by his crimes. i guess i'm more worried about IF he is continually listened to and his music is bought and IF he gets a higher level of fame for this act, it seems unfair to her and to those who are offended and affected by him. idk.

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
He is such a twat for doing that to Rihanna.
Apparently she was cheating on him though.
Then again I was told that by one of his fangirls...

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
Unfortunetly this will probably increase Brown's sales in the long run. He's lost some endorsements (like Wrigley's, big deal, i know) but it just puts his name out there so much some people are bound to forget the abuse part and remember the name.

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
I disagree, Jeraldo. Commercial companies will drop a woman-beater spokesperson faster than I drop McDonalds on a hangover day. Also, the majority of Chris Brown's fans are girls, and will probably be a lot more sensitive about not wanting to support a woman-beater.

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
There's a difference between the "any publicity is good publicity" argument pertaining to inane things like Ashlee Simpson's lipsyncing, and an actual MORAL issue of Chris Brown beating women. And if anything, any sensational impulse-buys of his record will be short-term at best.

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
love your sig, mistah janice.
and i think the chris brown fans will divide into two camps: the ones who will hate him and stop listening to and buying his music versus the ones who will become even bigger fans and offer their "support" or whatever.

Re: Is Chris Brown's Career Over?
I was reading my sister's magazine just now and it says something like
Rhianna is Jay-Z's protige and considering he's one of the biggest names in hip hop Chris Brown is officially over
Some "industry insider" said that
GOOD!
