is she like A twin I heard that could happen with twins.
and will suck ass like most "horror" movies of the last decade. i have little hope left for American Horror.
Amen. *tear* And this is coming from a very big horror movie fan. Come on South Korea, keep coming out with really good movies!
i am DYING for Rec 2 and The Descent 2. TD2 has a VERY promising story, but i haven't heard much about Rec 2 yet.
gah!
i have been dying to see rec! and i don't know... i think it's a little odd that the protagonist would return to the cavern. like what crazy bitch would do that? lol. and how the hell is she going to get out, anyway?
right now i'm mainly excited for final destination 4 and the box.

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
well the story from The Descent 2 is that she got out and the tragic death of her friends has been blocked from her memory, so when she can't remember or tell anyone what's happened, they send her to lead a search party to find her friends thinking they may still be alive.
at first i thought "well that sounds kinda crummy" but it's better than the "let's just tell a new story with an entirely different set of characters" route. and the more i think about it (see people's positive postings about it on IMDb) the more exciting and promising it sounds.
and please watch Rec.
i did it on my computer at night with the light's turned off and even though it was off a computer screen, i was still terrified.

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
Speaking of Asian/Foreign film, has anyone seen The Host?
I have and it was decent considering the plot.

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
if it's the movie i'm thinking of, i let the cover turn me away from it and discriminate.
Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
ohhh yes! best man w00t.
and yes, upcominghorrormovies is one of my few bookmarks!
i just read Cell last year and it was pretty good. i'm usually 50/50 on Stephen King's actual movies, but his books have always been good to me.

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
Cell is one of my personal Steven King faves. I've read it, what, twice now?
And if Eli Roth is directing/producing like I heard he is, he's going to fuck it up.
I have a horrible feeling he will.
I'm the only horror fan I know. Eh. My best friend only likes blood porn "horror movies" movies like Saw sequels and Hostle and it's awful followup. He likes other violent movies too. Whou woulda thunk it?

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
I know... It's depressing. Plus the book is already so crazy, with the flying flock and the mind control and all. He's really going to screw it up. God damn it, Eli Roth!
I'm also excited for Alice, if it ever actually happens, which it better.

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
Cell is pretty awesome.
but my heart always belongs to 'Salem's Lot. best. vampire. book. ever. beats out Dracula, despite the endless homages throughout.
both movies of it are crap though.
even though it's probably going to suck, is anyone ready to see the Friday the 13th remake? the original wasn't that great anyway, so i'm probably going to give it a looksie... downloaded though. i'm not paying money for that crap.
also, i love House of 1,000 Corpses and i like The Devil's Rejects, but Rob Zombie's Halloween sucked on SO many levels. what made Michael Myers absolutely frightening was his mysterious background, his lack of speech immediately after he killed his sister and the fact that we never learn why he does what he does (if you ignore films 4-6). and trying to make Michael human was like trying to justify the invasion of Iraq: stupid, not entertaining & full of crap. i just read that he's doing the sequel. what the hell is he going to do? give some hour and a half backstory around Michael in the hospital and shove the actual events of the film into the last 20 minutes like with the first one? ugh.

I know! Yet so many people didn't like it. How could they possibly not like it??? It was GENIUS! Plus now I listen to Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, thanks to "Hold Tight".
MEW, and, of course RD, and TOCFR... And RMG. And Butterfly.

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
i did love Deathproof, but i loved Planet Terror more.
i think they should've showed Deathproof first because when they put it after PT, i was like "kinda dragging on..." despite that it's hilarious. but i love them both now.
i want Grindhouse 2!!!!!!!!!!

is it true that the lap dance scene wasn't in the theatrical version? if so, then that sucks.
oo btw, i'm in mexicali right now. i'm gonna go look for joe's bar.
i just have to look for someone that wears a red bandana and plays a blue piano, right?

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
planet terror was hilariously over the top.
i mean, the part were the thing explodes behind rose and she goes flying?
the girl ain't superman, she just has a gun instead of a leg.

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
I don't want a Descent 2! I have a feeling it'll totally ruin the eninding of the first one! BTW, Who else can't wait for the Friday the 13th remake in febuary? It looks really awesome!

Re: MEET THE MODELS!!!
"It" was a good book, but it is MACABRE. The smothering scene in particular. It's one of the only times I've ever had to skip pages ahead of a book. Ugh.
I have "Blaze" now too, and I intend to start it very soon.

lol. yeah, i can't stress how much the movie frightened my computer screen! i doubt even The Descent would've done that.
Quarantine is okay. it's pretty much the same thing barring the background at the end getting cut out (where you hear the story on the recorder). it doesn't play it or it does but it's in a non-subtitled language or something(can't remember) and the cameras so shaky, you can't make out the newspaper clippings. and the girl/boy/whatever looks different(scarier in REC).
i think i'm gonna watch Rec again tonight.
