It's my birthday today! Worship me please
For those of you who don't know me, I am one of the judges this cycle. I was the runner-up Cycle One, and an active viewer of Cycle Two due to the fact that my sister LucyInTheSky got third place. HI EVERYBODY

Re: It's my birthday today! Worship me please
thanks!
i am planning on being equally nice this cycle, but twice as constructive.
i'll probly do it in this fashion:
What I like: Aspects of the finished photo that I think are successful, artistic, or unique
What I MIGHT like: Skills you already have that you aren't taking advantage of (Edgy bone structure, emotive eyes)
What I don't like: Unsuccessful aspects of the photo that are completely wrong (like Myspace angles. I am a huge anti-myspace angles person. This is MODELING folks, there is a HUGE difference)
Since no one asked, here's some counsel:
My biggest piece of advice right now (since Lesus already covered most of the basics) is Pick the Right Photographer. This is about ONE photo. This competition is ONE photo. (Not really, but that's what your mindset needs to be). If your photographer isn't putting you in focus, can't frame a shot, or won't stay longer than 50 frames, it can really affect the shot.
I realize that not everybody can be picky about who shoots their pictures, and we had several problems in the past in this regard, but it is something that you need to consider. If you have the option of being picky, choose someone that you can regularly employ, someone who WANTS to be there, and someone who will make you feel comfortable and creative. A loving sister, perhaps.
Otherwise, you can take the shots yourself. BUT BEWARE THE MYSPACE ANGLES. If we can see your arm coming towards the lens, it's BAD. the TIMER is your friend. Use it religiously, even for extremely closeup shots. Find a chair or table to prop it on, and create your set in front of it.
I want to see QUALITY!!! Which is good, because i know that's what you will provide.

Happy Birthday!
It's mine too, sort of (the 6th)! That's so cool. But now the forum says it's the 7th and I don't know why! It skipped me; whatthefreak, daylight savings time. Well, everyone, say Happy Birthday to me, too! xP But I haven't even opened my presents or had cake yet, and it's 10:30 at night, so basically my b-day and its accompanying rituals just...cheated on me? Lol.
You guys (you and Lucy) with your awesome avvies. Lol! Were they professionally done?
